WHEREAS, the VFW Cancer Resea.reh Cen��r, located on - - - -
the University of Minnesota Campus , has stood for 25 years
as a statewide facility dedicated to and designated for
cancer research; and
WIiEREAS, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Ladies
Auxiliary, from the conception of the project through the
building of the center, and in providing support for this
facility for community service, have giuer� years of dedicated
service toward cancer research; and their past and continuing
efforts are deserving of recognition by the community, now,
therefore, be it ,
RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul
on behalf of the' council and the citizens of Saint Paul, d�o
hereby commend the Veterans of Foreign Wars and their Ladies
A�.xiliary fo'r their persevering efforts in the establishment
and maintenance of this outstanding community facility, and
extend best wishes to these organizations in their current
and continuing drive for support of the Research Center.
