DESCRIPTION OF WORK
General Statement of Duties: Under direction, assists with set-up, break-
down, cleaning and sanitation of food production equipment; works on
food production line; and performs related duties as required.
Supervision Received: Works under the close supervision of a unit
supervisor.
Supervision Exercised: None.
TYPICAL DUTIES PERFORMED
The listed e�camples may not include all duties performed by all positions in
this class.
Assists with food production equipment set-up and operation.
Monitors the food production line to insure production of quality products,
proper operation of equipment and compliance with proper food handling
and sanitation grocedures.
*iakes minor equipment ad�ustments as needed.
Assists with breakdown, cleaning and sanitation o€ equipment.
Assists in instructing other department personnel in proper operation of
equipment.
Reports equipment malfunctions to supervisor or equipment repair staff.
• Performs food preparation and processing duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGES, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Some knowledge of large automated and semi-automated food preparation and
processing equipment.
Working knowledge of basic sanitation practices in food handling.
The abilitq to follow oral and written instructions.
The ability to lift and move ob�ects and equipment of moderate weight and
to withstand frequent bending, stooping, standing and walking.
�iINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Six months' experience as a Food Service Aide, Cook I or Baker I, or their
equivaZents.

rate of pay for the title of Communications
Technician Helper in the Salary Rates and
Compensation Resolution.
RESOLVED, that the Salary Plan and Rates of Compensation Resolution be
amended in Section II, Compensation for Ungraded Classes, by inserting immediately
after Subsection O the following:
"P The bi-weekly compensation for the class of Communications Technician
Helper in Section 3.D of the Civil Service Rules shall be as follows:
Start After 6 months After 1-yr.
$6.97 $7.22 $7.72
FURTHER RESOLVED, that this resolution shall take effect and be in force following
the first pay period after the passage, approval, and publication of this resolution.
