WHEREAS, the Commissioaer of the Department of Transportation has
prepared a preliminary layout for the improvement of a part of Trunk
Highway Number 108 renumbered as Trunk Highway No. 212 within the
corporate limits of the City of Sai.nt Paul, from the West Corporate Limits to
Mississippi River Boulevard; and seeks the approval thereof, and
WHEREAS, said preliminary layout is on file in the Office of the
Department of Transportation, Saint Paul, Minnesota, being marked, labeled
and identified as Layout No. 2, S.P. 2749-25 and S.P. 6228-42 (212=108)
fromWest River Parkway to Mississippi River Boulevard, and
WHEREAS, a portion of said Trunk Highway includes ezisting Bridge No.
6520, also known as the Marshall Avenue Bridge over the Mississippi River,
and ezisting Bridge No. 62518, also known as the Marshall Avenue Bridge over
Mississippi River Boulevard, and it is proposed to replace said bridges with a
bridge as shown on Layout No. 2, said replacement bridge to have a typical
deck section consisting of 2 - 12 foot roadway lanes, 2 - 14 foot roadway lanes
and 2 - 8'-8" sidewalks and said replacement bridge to be constructed in a
manner which will allow traffic to be maintained on the ezisting bridges, Now
then be it
RESOLVED, that said preliminary layout for the improvement of said
Trunk Highwsy within the corporate limits be and hereby is approved.
