Plato Delbert Schossow SUBJECT: Request variance or extension of time on illegally stored vehicles and rubbish, as he has purchased other property but will not get possession until 1-1-85. APPEARANCE: Delbert Schossow PROCEEDINGS: Mr. Schossow addressed the board and stated the rubbish problem has been resolved by having it removed and the premises cleaned up. He said he has 23 trucks which are al1 operable but fou.r or five are not licensed at the present time as they are not being used. Mr. Yannarrelly explained to the board there are five tna.cks not currently licensed and are stored on the property. The Bureau of Health, he said, is charged with enforcing the state statute on abandonecl vehicles. This statute states that any vehicle not currently registered is an abandoned vehicle and must be licensed or properly stored. Mr. Schossow explained he has purchased other property in Wisconsin but canr!ot get possession until after the first of the year. He felt he cannot license the vehicles without first obtaining i.nsurance on them and this would be too costly. Mr. Yannarelly explained to Mr. Schossow that he can sign a waiver of insurance with the State of MN. stating he does not p1an to operate the vehicles, and tnen. obtain a license for the trucks. BOARD ACTION: Harold Knutson felt that since the trash has been cleaned up, and as long as Mr. Schossow plans to move the vehicles to his new locat.on, he movEc to grant him an extension of time until February l, 1985 on conditian;he. vehicles be movel'r.:..pxt2perlyllicensed by tnat date.
