b) The D�IOC shall require its contractor to maintain
and to require all of its subcontractors to
maintain all insurance as described in said
specifications and further shall require the City
of Saint Paul be riamed as an additional insured
on all insurance policies. Also that contractor
or his representative shall furnish properly
executed Certificates of Insurance to the City
of Saint Paul, lt�n 218 City Hall.
2. The City hereby grants permission for D�d+Jt7C and their con-
tractor to perform vonstruction work of the Ipw�er Beltline
Interceptor within the City of Saint Paul rights-of-way and
properties in all areas showri � said plans.
3. The City Clerk is hereby directed to forward a certified
copy of this resolution to Mr. T. F. Keegan, Metropolitan
Waste Control Canmission, 350 Metro Square Building,
Seventh and RAbert Streets, St. Paul, Minnesota 55101.

WHEREAS , The Metropolitan Waste Control Commission has requested
that the City of Saint Paul convey to it at no compensation a perma-
nent sewer ,easement over a portion of the property owned by the City
of Saint Paul, the easement to be used by the Waste Control Commission
for the construction of a project identified by the Commission as the
Lower Beltline Interceptor Project No . 77-05, the project consisting
of approximately 3,100 lineal feet of a 60 inch gravity interceptor
sewer from a point beginning near the intersection of Warner Road and
Highway 61 and then in a westerly direction along the existing sanitary
bypass to a connection with the existing joint interceptor sewer within
the City of Saint Paul; and
WHEREAS, The Department of Public Works and the Valuation Engineer
have recommended that the City of Saint Paul grant this request by
the Waste Control Commission; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Council of the City of Saint Paul does hereby
authorize and direct the proper City officers to execute a Quit Claim
Deed on behalf of the City conveying a 35 foot permanent sanitary
sewer easement over the following described property to the Metro-
politan Waste Control Commission, a duly constituted agency of the
Metropolitan Council in form approved by the City Attorney:
A 35 foot wide permanent easement for sanitary sewer purposes over,
under and across the following described property:
That part of Government Lot 3 and the East Half of the North-
east Quarter of Section 4, Township 28, Range 22, Ramsey County,
Minnesota described as follows : Beginning at the center of
the Northeast Quarter, said Section 4; thence Northerly on
the Quarter - Quarter line to a point 266 feet South from the
North Quarter - Quarter corner; thence Easterly parallel with
the north section line to the east line of the West Half of
the Northeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter; thence South-
erly on said east line to a point 1120 feet Northerly from
