by placing a star (*) before the title of Water-Shed Laborer and by adding at the bottom
of the page the �ollowing statement:
"This title is abolished except as to present incumbents"
and be it

32 by striking out the clas specifications for Water-Shed Laborer and Water Laborer and
inserting, in proper alphabetical order, the attached class specification for Water

This resolution changes the class s ' cification for the title of Water Laborer. It also
abolishes the title & class specifi tion for Water-Shed Laborer. Anyone currently
holding the Water-Shed Laborer titl will continue to have rights in that title. In
future, the duties now performed by irthe Water-Shed Laborer will be included under the
Water Labo�er title.

General Statement Duties: Performs manual labor in the construction,
maintenance and repair �f streets, sewers, water mains, right-of-
ways, and on grounds anc� buildings; repairs conduits and structures;
drives, operates and cares for a two-axle single unit vehicle; and
performs related work as assigned.
Supervision Received: Works under the close technical supervision and
the general administrative supervision of a unit supervisor.
Supervision Exercised: None
TYPICAL DUTIES PERFORMED
The listed examples may not include all duties performed by all positions
in this class.
Performs laboring work, using picks, shovels, wheelbarrows and other
tools when necessary.
Operates small pumps and pneumatic equipment.
Prepares asphaltic surfaces for repair work and applies tack coating
material; shovels, spereads, rakes and tamps hot or cold asphalt.
Excavates trenches for curbs and sidewalks to line and grade.
Helps in the setting of forms for concrete curbs and sidewalks to line
and grade.
Stocks or loads pipe and lumber supplies; sets up barricades and lights.
Maintains and makes repairs to pipes, conduits, reservoirs and buildings.
Operates chain saws and chipping equipment to cut and fell trees and brush,
installs and repairs fences and shoreline riprap.
Applies chemicals and operates equipment for the control of weeds on land
and in the lakes.
Operates and makes minor repairs on self-propelled and manually operated
