Supervision Received: Works under the general administrative direction of a division or department head. I Supervision Exercised: Eexercises �eneral supervision over assigned employees. TYPICAL DUTIES PERFORMED I The listed examples may not include all duties performed by all positions in this class. Determines priority of all computer-Ilrelated work not specifically prioritized by management team. Supervises unit personnel; assigns, jconsults, evaluates and provides training to staff. , Supervises the operation of the com�uter system and makes judgments as to its use. Evaluates new hardware and softwarelto determine usefulness to department applications. Determines all purchases for the Public Works computer section. Analyzes hardware and software probllems; corrects them where there is no maintenance contract or works wit� vendors to correct them where mainten- ance contract exists. Performs system analysis of existingldepartment functions to determine feasibility of data processing ap�lications. Writes, revises and tests programs. ' Trains staff in the use of particula� software and procedures as well as training staff technicians and en�ineers in programming languages and skills.
