Regan, President) , doing business as Art's Towing, has reques'ted permission to change the location of its towing-storage lot �ram 252 Water Street to 2290 Wycliff; and WHEREAS, The proposed site at 2290 Wycliff is deemed by the City Council, based on the recommendation of District 12 Community Council and other factors, to not be acceptable and the licensee has offered to use its facilities at Hi�hway 36 and English Streets in Maplewood as an alternative if it is deemed acceptable to the City Council; and WHEREAS, The proposed site at �Iighway 36 and English is access- ible to Saint Paul residents by pub3ic transportation and is only a few blocks from the Saint Paul city limits, and would be an accept- able site but for the fact that section 361.13 of the Saint Paul Legislative Code requires that storage lots for Class A tow companies be located within the limits of the,' city of Saint Paul; and WHEREAS, There is now pending 'for adoption an ordinance, number , which would amend section 361.13 so as to permit the location of starage lots for said Class A towing companies to be located outside the limits of the city if the location site is first approved by the City Council; and WHEREAS, Minnesota Coaches has requested that the City Council approve the storage lot location a� Highway 36 and English, Maple- wood, pending the adoption of the amendment to section 361.13, on condition that if the ordinance am�ndment shall not be enacted the company will relocate to its preseMt facilities at 252 Water Street; now, therefore, be it � COUNCILMEN Requested by Department of: Yeas Nays Fletcher Drew In Favor Masanz Nicosia Scheibel __ Against BY Tedesco Wilson Form App oved �!
