WHEREAS, the Cai�y of Saint Paul appl�ed for a grant from the National Endowment
for the Arts Design Arts Progxam on May 20, 1983; and
WH�REAS, the National Endowment for the Axts has approved a grant of $50,000.00
(foz federal FY 7,985 pending the availability of funds approved by Congress) , the
purpose of sponsoring a national design competition as part of the development of the
World Trade Center P1aza (Block 22) ;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE TT RESOLVED, that the proper City officials are authorized to
prepare to execute the sponsorsha.p of a national design competition i.n cooperation
with the Nati,onal Endowment for the Arts; and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul does hereby accept
the National Endowment for the Arts grant, conditioned upon the execution of the
grant agzeement and contract between the City and the National Endowment for the Arts.
