RESOLVED, That upon execution and delivery of a release in full
to the City, in a form to be approved by the City Attorney, the
proper City officers are hereby authorized and directed to pay
out of the Tort Liability Fund 09070-511-000, to:
l . Steven Juran and Farmers Insurance Group the sum of $2 , 290 .54
in full settlement of their claim of damages sustained on or
about September 14 , 1983 , as more particularly set out in the
Notice of Claim filed in the City Clerk ' s office on November 22 ,
1983 .
2 . Herbert G. Carlson the sum of $216 .44 in full settlement of
his claim of damages sustained on or about December 9 , 1983 ,
as more particularly set out in the Notice of Claim filed in
the City Clerk' s office on January 13 , 1984 .
3 . Edward Kruse the sum of $134 .00 in full settlement of his
claim fo damages sustained on or about April 13 , 1984 , as
more particularly set out in the Notice of Claim filed in
the City Clerk ' s office on April 20, 1984 .

M E M O R A N D U M
CLAIMS AGAINST CITY OF SAINT PAUL
BY STEVEN JURAN AND FARMERS INSURANCE
GROUP; HERBERT G. CARLSON; and EDWARD KRUSE
Claimant , Steven Juran, requests reimbursement for damages to his
automobile which he incurred when it was involved in an accident
with a City of Saint Paul , Department of Police, vehicle on
September l4, 1983 . Mr . Juran ' s vehicle was being driven by his
wife , Donna Juran. The City of Saint Paul vehicle was being
driven by Michael Garvey. Mr. Juran is insured by Farmers Insur-
ance Group which has a subrogated interest in this claim. This
office approves the settlement of their claim in the amount of
$2, 290 . 54 .
Claimant , Herbert G. Carlson, requests reimbursement for damages
to his automobile which he incurred with Officer Richard McHarg
of the Saint Paul Police Department opened the door of his squad
on struck Mr . Carlson ' s vehicle . This incident occurred on
December 9 , 1983 . This office approves the settlement of Mr .
Carlson ' s claim in the amount of $216. 44 .
On April 13 , 1984, a City of Saint Paul , Parks and Forestry
employee, claimant Edward Kruse, was working with a hydraulic saw
when the saw broke. Hydraulic fluid shot out all over Mr. Kruse ' s
clothes and ruined them. The clothing was damaged to the extent
it could no longer be worn. The value. of the clothing was $134 .00.
This office approves the settlement of Mr . Kruse ' s claim in the
amount of $134 . 00 .
