This resolutioa approvea the 1984 Settlement between the City and the Irom Workers Local No.
512. This Memorandum implemeats the wage aad fringe package increase the union negotiated �
with the Associated Geaeral Contractors (AGC). This is a .40 per hour increase.
Financial , Budgetary and Personnel Impacts Anticipated:
None. The City curreatly employs no Iroa Workers. They are hired as temporary employees
whea aeeded.

MEMORANDUM OF SETTLEMENT
This Memorandum of Settlement by and between the City of Saint Paul and Tfain
City Iron Workers' , Local 512.
In full settlement of 1984 negotiations, the parties hereto have agreed
as follows:
(1) Except as modified by the terms of this Memorandum, the
previous understandings between the parties shall remain
unchanged.
(2) Effective immediately, the rates of pay for the employees
represented by the Union shall be those set forth in
Appendix A hereof.
(3) Said rates, as well as all other understandings between the
parties, shall continue through April 30, 1985. It is further
understood that the wage rates shall remain in effect until
the parties have agreed to other rates as part of subsequent
bargaining, or until the understandings of the parties have
been terminated by either.
It is understood that the above settlement shall be recoammended by the City
Negotiator, but is subject to the approval by the City Administration and
adoption by the City Council and Civil Service Commission.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the Citq Negotiator has affixed his signature this 27th
day of April, 1984.

The basic hourly wage rates for employees covered by this SETTLEMENT shall
be as follows:
Regular, Probationary Effective
and Provisional May 1, 1984
Iron Worker $16.44*
Iron Worker Foreman $17.40*
Temporary and Emergency
Iron Worker $17.10*
Iron Worker Foreman $18.10*
The above rates may be decreased as long as the contributions listed below are
increased by the same total amount.
It is agreed that the following contributions and deductions shall be made by
the Employer for each hour worked by employees who are members of this Bargain-
ing Unit. These contributions and deductions shall be made as designated below:
Effective
May 1, 1984
Health and Welfare Fund $1.70
Pension Fund $1.90
Apprenticeship Fund $ .04
Vacation Fund - Deduction $1.00
These contributions may be increased as long as the applicable hourly rates
shown above are decreased by the same total amount.
