1 WHEREAS, the City of St. Paul was saddened by the tragic death of store clerk V 3cki Mollenhoff and its citizens
2 wanted a dedicated effort to bring to justice those responsible, and
3 WHEREAS, the St. Paul Police Deparhnent mustered all its resources to invesUgate this incadent, and
4 WHEREAS, citizens who witnessed the event voluntarily gave accurate information to the St. Pau1 Police
5 Department, and
6 WT�REAS, Patrol O� cers David Strecker and Mike Duzan were working overtime on a crime suppression detaii
7 spotted a vehicle and based on the informafion from witnesses determined that some ofthe occupants ofthe vehicle
8 fit the description of the suspects in the death of Ms. Mollenhoff and through their alertness and professionalism
9 brought possible suspects into custody.
10 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Saint Paul City Council commends Officers 5trecker and
11 Duzan for their exemplary action in pursuit of justice.
