RESOLVED, That upon execution and delivery of a release in full
to the City, in a form to be approved by the City Attorney, the
proper City officers are hereby authorized and directed to pay
out of the Tort Liability Fund 09070-511-000, to:
l . Elizabeth Wanna the sum of $302 . 39 in full settlement of her
claim of damages sustained on or about February 3 , 1984 , as
more particularly set out in the Notice of Claim filed in the
City Clerk' s office on February 29 , 1984 .
2 . Charles Avery the sum of $400 .00 in full settlement of his
claim of damages sustained on or about April 10, 1984 , as
more particularly set out in the Notice of Claim filed in
the City Clerk ' s office on April 18, 1984 .
3 . Dora A. Driscoll de Gomez and Michael F. Driscoll the sum of
$674 .26 in full settlement of their claim of damages sustained
on or about April 17, 1984 , as more particularly set out in
the Notice of Claim filed in the City Clerk ' s office on
April 24 , 1984 .
4 . Mae E. Davidson and State Farm Insurance Companies the sum of
$550 .00 in full settlement of their claim of damages sustained
on or about November 24 , 1983 , as more particularly set out
in the lVotice of Claim filed in the City Clerk' s office on
February 7, 1984 .

CLAIMS AGAINST CITY OF 5AINT PAUL BY
ELIZABETH WANNA; CHARLES AVERY; DORA A.
DRISCOLL de GOMEZ A[VD MICHAEL F. DRISCOLL;
and MAE E. DAVIDSON AND STATE FARM INSURANCE
COMPANIES
Claimant , Elizabeth Wanna, was involved in an automobile accident
with a City of Saint Paul , Department of Public Works , vehicle on
February 3 , 1984 . The driver of the City vehicle was Richard L.
Koerner. Expenses are for the repair of the damaged vehicle.
This office approves the settlement of Ms . Wanna' s claim in the
amount of $302 . 39 .
On april 10, 1984 , Officer Maruska was driving a City of Saint
Paul police squad north on Snelling near Charles . A vehicle
owned by claimant, Charles Avery, was in front of Officer Maruska
and as the Avery vehicle was making a right turn onto Charles,
Officer Maruska struck the Avery car and damaged it in the amount
of $400 . 00 . This office approves the settlement of Mr . Avery' s
claim in the amount of $400 . 00 .
On April 17, 1984, Officer Daniel Carlson was driving a City of
Saint Paul police squad west on Summit Avenue near the intersection
of Oakland. A vehicle driven and owned by claimant , Dora Driscoll
de Gomez , was stopped in the left lane on Summit to make a left
turn on Oakland. Officer Carlson was blinded by the sunlight and
did not observe the left turn signal on the Gomez car . As a
result , Officer Carlson struck the rear end of the Gomez vehicle
and damaged it in the amount of $674.26 . This office approves
the settlement of Mr . and Mrs . Driscoll ' s claim in the amount of
$674 .26 .
On November 24 , 1983 , our employee, Richard Hoschka, was driving
a City of Saint Paul , Department of Public Works , vehicle east on
Wheelock Parkway. As Mr . Hoschka was approaching the intersection
of Payne Avenue he slowed the vehicle which skidded on ice and
struck a vehicle owned by claimant , Mae Davidson. The Davidson
vehicle was stopped at the intersection for a stop sign. Ms.
Davidson ' s vehicle was damaged in the amount of $550 .00, of which
she was compsensated by ehr insurance company, State Farm. This
office approves the settlement of their claim in the amount of
$550. 00 .
