WHEREAS, on Friday, May 11 , 1984 the Minnesota Cable
Communications Board issued to Continental Cablevision of
St. Paul a regular Certificate of Confirmation for a franchise
for a cable communications system to be operated in the City
of Saint Paul ; and
WHEREAS, Continental Cablevision of St. Paul has filed
said certificate with the Office of the City Clerk; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of St. Paul wishes
to recognize the successful culmination of a very long and
thorough franchising process ; and, be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council welcomes Continental
as a partner in bringing cable communications to the City of
St. Paul ; and, be it
FINALLY RESOLVED, that the Council commends the members of
the staff of the Minnesota Cable Communications Board for their
deliberative and complete study of the franchising process in
St. Paul .
