RESOLVED, that upon execution and delivery of a release
in full to the City of Saint Paul, the proper City officers are
hereby authorized and directed to pay out of the Tort Liability
Fund 09070-511-000 to Henry W. Adkins and Alberta Adkins, husband
and wife, the sum of $14, 000. 00 in full settlement of their claim
for damages sustained to Henry W. Adkins as a result of a sidewalk
fall a� or near 1000 Iglehart on March 31, 1982 .

RE: Claim against the City of Saint Paul
by Henry and Alberta Adkins , which occurred
at 1000 Iglehart
Henry Adkins, an 85 year old man, claims to have fallen on a
defective city sidewalk on March 31, 1982 ; he was taken to St. Paul
Ramsey Hospital for treatment of a broken right leg. Mr. Adkins
was hospitalized for approximately eight weeks as a result of
this injury and incurred medical bills in excess of $30, 000 .
Dr. Gaither of St. Paul Ramsey diagnosed a 25o permanent partial
disability of Mr. Adkins ' right leg relating to his injury.
This office recommends settlement of this case for the sum of
$14 , 000 .
