THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAINT PAUL DOES ORDAIN: Section l. That Section 368.03, subdivision 2 of the Saint Paul Legislative Code be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows : "Subd. 2. /�ERTIFICATE OF EXT�RMINATION_�" Further, no permit shall be issued as herein provided for the wrecking, demolition or tearing down of any building or structure in the city until satisfactory evidence is furnished by a certificate from the su�ervisor of code enforcement or his designee that a licensed pest control company has exterminated all nuisance pests� includin� wood destroying insectst from the structure anTp'remises . "Rules and regulations as are reasonably necessary to insure that a licensed pest control company has adequately applied the use of chemicals , trappings, structural alterations or other control methods for the extermination of vermin and wood destro in insects are hereby approved. ai ru es an regulations shall be kept on file in the office of the city clerk and shall be open to public inspection during normal business hours. Because of the termite problems that have been experienced in Railroad Island, - this ordinance will ensure that the ground and waste product from a demolition/wrecking would be treated in an appropriate manner.
