Hogan �- Assistant City At{ orney DATE: March l, 1984 RE: Claim against the City of St. Paul by Donald Michalec On February 22 , 1981, St. Paul police executed a search warrant at 428 Wabasha, upon allegations that the premises were being used as an after-hours establishment. During the search, physical damage was done to the building and to rental equipment and fixtures in the building. An investigation of the damages was made; after crossmatching both the police record of damages and the plaintiff ' s claimed damages, a total of $1, 677 . 50 of damages remained beyound what would reasonably occur in the execution of a search warrant.
