RESOLVED, That upon execution and delivery of a release in full
to the City, in a form to be approved by the City Attorney, the
proper City officers are hereby authorized and directed to pay
out of the Tort Liability Fund 09070-511-000, to :
1 . Gordon Hakala the sum of $600.00 in full settlement of his
claim of damages sustained on or about January 6 , 1984 , as
more particularly set out in the Notice of Claim filed in
the City Clerk 's office on January 19 , 1984 .
2 . Dorothy Wallner the sum of $90 .37 in full settlement of her claim
of damages sustained on or about October 7, 1983 , as more particu-
larly set out in the Notice of Claim filed in the City Clerk ' s
office on January 9 , 1984 .
3 . Douglas L. Wills the sum of $85 .85 in full settlement of his
claim of damages sustained on or about September 12 , 1983 , as
more particularly set out in the [Votice of Claim �iled in the
City Clerk ' s office on December 20 , 1983 .
4 . Mrs . Agnes Abbott the sum of $119 .95 in full settlement of her
claim of damages sustained on or about November 15 , 1983 , as
more particularly set out in the Notice of Claim filed in the
City Clerk 's office on January 3 , 1984 .
5 . Metropolitan Transit Commission the sum of $284 .54 in full
settlement of its claim of damages sustained on or about January 6 ,
1984 , as more particularly set out in the Notice of Claim filed
in the City Clerk ' s office on February 9, 1984 .

M E M O R A N D U M
CLAIMS AGAINST CITY OF SAINT PAUL
BY GORDON HAKALA, DOROTHY WALLNER,
DOUGLAS L. WILLS, MRS . AGNES ABBOTT,
AND METROPOLITAN TRANSIT COMMISSION
Claimant , Gordon Hakala, requests reimbursement for damages to his
automobile which he incurred on January 6 , 1984 , when a City of
Saint Paul , Department of Community Services Dog Pound vehicle struck
his parked car at Bush and Payne . The driver of the City vehicle,
Thomas Streich, was parking his vehicle when he slid in icy ruts and
struck Mr . Hakala ' s vehicle . This office approves the settlement of
Mr . Hakala ' s claim in the amount of $600 , 00 .
On October 7, 1983 , at Wheelock Parkway and Grotto, claimant Dorothy
Wallner ' s vehicle struck a metal rod protruding from the curb damaging
a tire . This office approves the settlement of Ms . Wallner ' s claim
in the amount of $90 .37, the cost of replacing the tire .
Claimant , Douglas L. Wills , request reimbursement for damages to his
automobile which he incurred on September 12 , 1983 , when a City of
Saint Paul , Department of Police squad struck his parked car at
580 University Avenue . The drive of the City City vehicle , James
Campbell , was parking his vehicle when he struck Mr . Wills ' auto .
This office approves the settlement of Mr . Wills ' claim in the amount
of $85 .85 .
Claimant , Mrs . Agnes Abbott , requests reimbursement for the replace-
ment of her glasses which were damaged when she fell on the City
sidewalk near Tenth and Sibley on November 15 , 1983 . This office
approves the settlement of Mrs . Abbott ' s claim in the amount of
119 .95 .
Claimant , Metropolitan Transit Commission, requests reimbursement for
damages to one of its buses which was involved in an accident with a
City of Saint Paul , Department of Public Works ' s vehicle on January 6 ,
1984 near Snelling and Thomas . The driver of the City vehicle was
Thomas Miller . This office approves the settlement of the Metropolitan
Transit Commission ' s claim in the amount of $284 .54 .
