RESOLUTION APPROVING EXTENSION OF TAX
INCREMFNT CONSULTANT SERVICE CONTRACT
WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul , Minnesota ("City") entered into
a contract with Holmes & Graven, Attorneys at Law ("Holmes") The
Technical Assistance and Research Service of the League of Minnesota
Cities , a cooperative association of Cities ("TARS") in 1980, for
the provision of consultant services in the area of tax increment
financing; and
WHEREAS , said contract was extended in 1981 and 1982 and is due
to expire in early 1984; and
WHEREAS, the City has received a proposal from Holmes for exten-
sion of consultant contract services ; and
WHEREAS, City staff recommends extension of a consultant service
contract with Holmes , to be funded from City Planning and Economic
Uevelopment operations fund (Housing Division) or any other source
as recommended by City staff.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the
City of Saint Paul, Minnesota, as follows :
1. City staff and officers are authorized to negotiate
and execute, respectively, a consultant contract with
Holmes & Graven for provision of consultant services
in the area of tax increment financing.
2. City staff shall draft said contract in form and
content substantially similar to the draft attached
hereto , and in such form and content as approved by
the Office of the City Attorney.
