RE: LEGISLATIVE ITEMS
Attached are copies of resolutions supporting the eight
items passed by the Legislation Committee this morning.
The following people have indicated an intere st in signing
on the items:
l. District Heating at Energy Park: No preference .
2 . Smoke detectors: Vic Tedesco
3 . Local Government Aid policy: No preference
4 . Policy on allocation of IDB authority: No preference
5. Tax exemption of property held for redevelopment:
No preference
6 . BCA data collection: V1C ''.-!-sc
7. Increased funding for Community Development Corporations:
Vic Tedesco and Jim Scheibel
8 . Financing of fire protection equipment : Bill Wilson
Copies of each of the re solutions are attached. It would be
most convenient if you could sign off as chairman of the
committee on the resolutions for which no preference has
been expressed by any Council member . The Council members
making specific requests for authorship should sign off on
the other resolutions. I have informed A1 Olson that these
resolutions will be sent to his office for consideration on
the Council agenda. I plan to meet with members of the City
Council not on the Legislative Committee before the items are
considered by the entire Council. It would be most convenient
if the Council could consider these eight items during one of
their meetings next week. Al Olson stated that this is possible
if we forward these resolutions to him as soon as possible .
