00-1121OR(G(NAL Presented By Referred To 6 7 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 Council FIle # e � �� s� GreenSheet# io�q4a RESOLUT ON �`'� CITY SAINT , MINNESOTA , a � %� � ; ,� � ; ; , ; , �l Committee_ Date WHEREAS, a separate category of liquor license fee has been created for theaters with a reduced fee based upon the contention that the reduced hours of service for theaters requires a reduced fee to be economically feasible; and WHEREAS, the sepazate category of fee is based in part upon the lunited hours of service and the expectation that enforcement costs will be reduced for these licenses; and WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to have a study performed to document the actual costs of investigating, licensing and enforcing liquor licenses issued to theaters to insure that the fee covers those costs, and to verify that the reduced fee is economically necessary for theaters; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, that the Office of License, Tnspections and Environmental Protection is requested to do a study of the liquor license fees issued to theaters to determine whether the fee set is sufficient to cover the City's licensing and enforcement costs and whether the reduced fee is in fact economically necessary for theaters, and to report to Council by October 1, 2001.
