to the City, in a form to be approved by the City Attorney, the
proper City officers are hereby authorized and directed to pay
out of the Tort Liability Fund 09070-511-000, to :
l . Jerome J. Tima the sum of $712 .23 in full settlement of his
claim of damages sustained on or about November 30, 1983 ,
as more particularly set out in the Notice of Claim filed
in the City Clerk ' s office on December 5 , 1983 .
2 . Wausau Insurance Companies the sum of $383 .57 in full settle-
ment of its claim of damages sustained on or about September 8 ,
1983 , as more particularly set out in the Notice of Claim filed
in the City Clerk ' s office on September 30 , 1983 .
3 . Kathleen A. Watson the sum of $388 .16 in full settlement of
her claim of damages sustained on or about July 23 , 1983 , as
more particularly set out in the Notice of Claim filed in the
City Clerk ' s office on August 3 , 1983 .

M E M O R A N D U M
CLAIMS AGAINST CITY OF SAINT PAUL
BY JEROME J . TIMA, WAUSAU INSURANCE
COMPANY AND KATHLEEN A . WATSON
Claimant , Jerome J. Tima, was involved in an automobile accident with
a City of Saint Paul , Department of Public Works , vehicle on
November 30 , 1983 . The City vehicle was being driven by Richard F.
Rowan. Expenses are for the repair of the damaged vehicle . This
office approves the settlement of Mr . Tima ' s claim in the amount of
$712 .23 .
Claimant , Wausau Insurance Companies , requests reimbursement for half
the settlement made to Metamorph, Inc , as a result of a sewer backup
caused by street renovation near 367-371 Selby Avenue . Wausau Insur-
ance Companies insures Bituminous Roadways , Inc . , the company doing
the street renovation . Because the existence of a manhole was
missing from the plans , the manhole was damaged causing the sewer
backup. Liability is present on the part of both parties and this
office agreed to split the settlement with Wausau Insurance Companies .
Wausau Insurance Companies handled the settlement on behalf of the
City and now requests reimbursement for the City' s part of the
settlement . This office approves the settlement of Wausau Insurance
Companies ' claim in the amount of $383 .57 .
Claimant , Kathleen A. Watson , seeks reimbursement for damages to her
vehicle which she incurred when her 1977 Corvette was struck by a
City of Saint Paul , Department of Police , squad driven by Officer
Chester Sorenson on July 23 , 1983 in the car wash parking lot on
Prosperity between Geranium and Mendota . This office approves the
settlement of Ms . Watson ' s claim in the amount of $388 .16 .
