RE50LVED, That upon execution and delivery of a release in full
to the City, in a form to be approved by the City Attorney, the
proper City officers are hereby authorized and directed to pay
out of the Tort Liability Fund 09070-511-000 , to:
l . S & N Elevator Company and Fireman 's Fund Insurance Company the
sum of $1 , 476 .16 in full settlement of their claim of damages
sustained on or about May 9 , 1983 , as more particularly set out
in the Notice of Claim filed in the City Clerk ' s office on
May 17, 1983 .
2 . Bernice P . Anderson the sum of $150 .00 in full settlement of
her claim of damages sustained on or about August 18 , 1983 ,
as more particularly set out in the Notice of Claim filed in
the City Clerk 's office on September 20 , 1983 .
3 . Loretta Wirtz and Prudential Insurance Company the sum of
$1 , 781 .47 in full settlement of their claim of damages
sustained on or about January 13 , 1983 , as more particularly
set out in the Notice of Claim filed in the City Clerk ' s office
on April 6 , 1983 .

M E M O R A N D U M
CLAIMS AGAINST CITY OF SAINT PAUL
BY S & N ELEVATOR COMPANY AND
FIREMAN' S FUND INSURANCE COMPANY;
BERNICE P . ANDERSON; and LORETTA
WIRTZ AND PRUDENTIAL INSURANCE
COMPANY
On May 9 , 1983 , a 1978 Gremlin owned by claimant , S & N Elevator
Company was parked at 452 Prior Avenue in Saint Paul . At approxi-
mately 10: 00 a.m. , it was rear ended by a City of Saint Paul ,
Department of Community Services , pick-up truck . The driver of this
pick-up was City employee Christian Boche . Mr . Boche suffered from
a diabetic reaction which caused the accident . S & N Elevator
Company is insured by Fireman ' s Fund Insurance Company which has a
subrogated interest in this claim. Damages were sustained in the
amount of $1 , 476 .16 . This office approves the settlement of their
claim in the amount of $1 , 476 .16 .
Claimant , Bernice P . Anderson, requests reimbursement for medical
expenses incurred when she fell on a City sidewalk at 932 Arcade on
August 18 , 1983 . The defect in the sidewalk was reported to the
Sidewalk Division of the Department of Public Works and they made
repairs on August 23 , 1983 . This office approves the settlement of
Mrs . Anderson ' s claim in the amount of $150 .00 .
Claimant , Loretta Wirtz , was involved in a three car accident on
January 13 , 1983 . The location of the accident was Robert and
Ccncord and the traffic signals at this intersection were malfunction-
ing . Both streets had a green light at the same time . Ms . Wirtz
is insured by Prudential Insurance Comapny which has a subrogated
interest in this claim. Expenses are for the repair of the damaged
vehicle . This office approves the settlement of their claim in the
amount of $1 , 781 . 47.
