00-1106ORIGINAL RESOLUTION Presented By Referred To Committee: Date WHEREAS, the employees of the City of Saint Paul's Cable Communication Office attended a National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors conference on September 15, 2000 in Los Angeles, California, and; 0 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 WHEREAS, a cable programmer company, Recovery Nerivork, sponsored a free raffle whereby conference attendees placed business cards into a fish bowl for a chance to win a palm pilot, valued at approximately $250, and; CITY OF SAINT PAUL, MINNESOTA � � � WHEREAS, a Saint Paul's Cable CommunicaUon Office employee won the raffle, and; RESOLVED, the Council of the City of Saint Paul hereby accepts the palm pilot as an appropriate gift as a result of the Saint Paul's Cable Communication Office employees attendance at the National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors conference, and; FINALLY RESOLVED, the City Council declares the acceptance and use of the palm pilot serves a public purpose in that it will enhance the efficiency of the Saint Paul Cable Communication Office in their video production activities, especially those activities which occur in the field.
