under Minnesota Statutes, Sections 471. 15 through 471.191, to
finance the acquisition of the Science Center and to refund the
City ' s existing lease-purchase contract with respect to that
facility.
This letter will serve as a formal request that the
City Council set a public hearing on the proposal to issue refunding
, bonds for its July 1.2 meeting. I have enclosed herewith a
suggested resolution, containing a form of notice of public hearing,
for that purpose. The notice of hearing must be published in the
Saint Paul. Dispatch/Pioneer Press and in the Legal Ledger no
later than June 28 if the hearing is to be hel.d on July 12.
Please advise me if that schedule is not agreeable to the City.
Also, please advise as to whether your office will make arrangements
for publication of the notice of hearing, or whether you wish us •
to arrange for publication. In either event, of course, the :•
Science Museum wi].1 absorb the publ.ication costs.
If you have any questions, please cal.l me.
Very truly yours ,
