RESOLVED, That upon execution and delivery of a release in full
to the City, in a form to be approved by the City Attorney, the
proper City officers are hereby authorized and directed to pay
out of the Tort Liability Fund 09070-511-000, to:
1 . United States Post Office the sum of $353 .06 in full settle-
ment of its claim of damages sustained on or about Apri1 30,
1984, as more particularly set out in the Notice of Claim
filed in the City Clerk ' s office on May 25 , 1984 .
2. Henry William Schafer and Allstate Insurance the sum of $544 .05
in full settlement of their claim of damages sustained on or
about June 3 , 1983 , as more particularly set out in the Notice
of claim filed in the City Clerk ' s office on June 27, 1983 .
3 . John Schumacher the sum of $169 .68 in full settlement of his
claim of damages sustained on or about April 25 , 1984, as more
particularly set out in the Notice of Claim filed in the City
Clerk' s office on May 9 , 1984 .
4 . Robert L. Anderson the sum of $527.97 in full settlement of
his claim of damages sustained on or about May 21 , 1984 , as
more particularly set out in the Notice of Claim filed in the
City Clerk ' s office on June 1 , 1984 .

M E M O R A N D U M
CLAIMS AGAINST CITY OF SAINT PAUL
BY UNITED STATES POST OFFICE;
HENRY WILLIAM SCHAFER AND ALLSTATE
INSURANCE; JOHN SCHUMACHER; and
ROBERT L. A[VDERSON
On April 30 , 1984 , a City of Saint Paul , Department of Public
Works, vehicle driven by employee Allen Shetka rear-ended a
United States Postal vehicle on Rice Street near John Ireland
Parkway. The postal vehicle was damaged in the amount of $353 . 06 .
This office approves the settlement of the United 5tates Post
Office ' s claim in the amount of $353 . 06 .
On July 3 , 1983 , a City of Saint Paul , Department of Police,
squad driven by James Rutten backed up on Raymond Avenue and
struck the front end of a vehicle owned by claimant , Henry Schafer .
Mr . Schafer ' s vehicle was damaged in the amount of $544 .05 . Mr .
Schafer is insured by Allstate Insurance which has a subrogated
interest in this claim. This office approves the settlement of
their claim in the amount of $544. 05 .
Claimant , John Schumacher, requests reimbursement for damages to
the front windshield of his automobile . The damage occurred on
April 25, 1984 when a City of Saint Paul , Department of Public
Works , bridge cleaning crew was cleaning the Prior Avenue bridge
- over I . 94. Water washed rocks and sand over the bridge striking
Mr. Schumacher ' s car . This office approves the settlement of
Mr . Schumacher ' s claim in the amount of $169 . 68 .
On May 21 , 1984, a City of Saint Paul , Department of Public
Works , truck driven by John Zibley backed into a parked car at
the Dale Street Garage parking lot . The car was owned by claimant ,
Robert L. Anderson, and it was damaged in the amount of $527.97.
This office approves the settlement of Mr. Anderson ' s claim in
the amount of $52 7.9 7.
