RESOLVED, That upon execution and delivery of a release in full
to the City, in a form to be approved by the City Attorney, the
proper City officers are hereby authorized and directed to pay
out of the Tort Liability Fund 09070-511-000, to :
l . Hartwell Amlee and the Insurance Company of North America the sum
of $474 .30 in full settlement of their claim of damages sustained
on or about August 23 , 1983 , as more particularly set out in the
Notice of Claim filed in the City Clerk ' s office on October 17,
1983 .
2 . David A. Demulling the sum of $15 .00 in full settlement of his
claim of damages sustained on or about February 22 , 1984 , as more
particularly set out in the Notice of Claim filed in the City Clerk ' s
office on February 28 , 1984 .

M E M O R A N D U M
CLAIMS AGAINST CITY OF SAINT PAUL
BY HARTWELL AMLEE AND THE INSURANCE
COMPANY OF NORTH AMERICA; and DAVID A.
DEMULLING
Claimant , Hartwell Amlee, requests reimbursement for damages to
his automobile which he sustained on August 23 , 1983 while his
vehicle was parked under the High Bridge . A City of Saint Paul ,
Department of Public Works , crew was doing repair work on the
bridge and during clean-up operations some loose rock went through
the expansion joints of the bridge and damaged cars parked below
the High Bridge . The cost of repair for Mr . Amlee ' s vehicle was
$474 .30 . Mr . Amlee was insured by the Insurance Company of North
America which has a subrogated interest in this claim. This
office approves the settlement of their claim in the amount of
$474 .30 .
Claimant , David A. Demulling, requests reimbursement for damage
to his automobile which he sustained on February 22 , 1984 when he
struck a pothole near 3rd Street and Birmingham. According to
the Department of Public Works , we had previous notice of this
hole and had tried to repair it before Mr . Demulling struck the
hole . The Department of Public Works sent another crew to the
area to do more repairs after Mr. Demulling struck the hole .
This office approves the settlement of Mr . Demulling ' s claim in
the amount of $15 . 00 .
