RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF AN URBAN DEVELOPMENT
ACTION GRANT FOR THE BLOCK 28 MIXED-USE REDEVELOPMENT
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Saint Paul did autho rize the submission
of an Urban Development Action Grant application to the U.S. Depa rtment of Housing
and Urban Development for the adaptive reuse rehabilitation of the Donaldson's
Building on Block 28, on October 27, 1983, Council File 2811U 4; and �
WHEREAS, the Department has given preliminary approval to said Grant, on
December 29, 1983, in the amount of $700,000; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saint Paul does hereby accept said
Urban Development Action Grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban
Development; and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that Mayor Geo rge Latimer, as Chief Executive Officer, and
other appropriate City officers , are hereby authorized and directed to execute
such agreements and to provide such assurances as necessary between the City, the
Department, and the Participating Parties as defined in the said Agreement(s) fo r
the Project; and be it
FINALLY RESOLVED, that the Mayor, o r his designated representatives , is
further authorized to execute and submit to the U.S. Department of Housing and
Urban Development any assurance, certifications , o r additional information that
may be required by said Department during the final processing of the City's
approved Urban Development Action Grant for the Block 28 project.
