RESOLVED, That upon execution and delivery of a release in full
to the City, in a form to be approved by the City Attorney, the
proper City officers are hereby authorized and directed to pay
out of the Tort Liability Fund 09070-511-000, to Farmers Insurance
Group and John Wachman the sum of $3 , 970. 00 in full settlment of
their claim of damages sustained on or about July 8 , 1985 , as
more particularly set out in the Notice of Claim filed in the
City Clerk' s office on August 15 , 1985.

MEMORANDUM
CLAIM AGAINST CITY OF SAINT PAUL BY
FARMERS INSURANCE GROUP AND JOHN WACHMAN
On July 8, 1985, a City of Saint Paul vehicle driven by City
employee Edward Moore struck a parked vehicle on Selby near St.
Albans, owned by John Wachman. The trunk area of Mr. Wachman' s
car was demolished and numerous personal items in his trunk were
destroyed as a result of this accident. A partial settlement of
$235. 00 was made to Mr. Wachman for the personal property only.
The property damage of $3, 970. 00 was subrogated by Mr. Wachman ' s
insurer, Farmers Insurance Group. The vehicle damage was settled
for $3, 970. 00 with Mr. Wachman and his insurance company, Farmers
Insurance Group. This office approves the settlement of their
claim in the amount of $3, 970. 00.
