This section of the Memorandum of Understanding shall apply to the Civic Center Stage Employees holding the following titles: Grips Head Flyman Lamp Operator Propertyman Rigger Stage Carpenter Stage Electrician Truck Loader/Unloader 1. When an employee is called to work he/she shall receive two hours' pay if not put to work. If he/she is called to work and commences work, he/she shall be guaranteed four hours' pay. These provisions, however, shall not be effective when work is unable to proceed because of adverse weather conditions; nor shall these provisions apply to temporary or emergency employees nor to employees employed under any of the titles listed under the heading "Special Employ- ments"; nor to any person whose regularly scheduled workday is less than four hours. 3. Hourly services rendered by employees in the titles listed above between 12:00 midnight and 8:00 a.m. shall be compensated at the rate of two times the regular hourly rate. , �f�- ��� �0 9 4. The performance rate shall apply for all performances lasting up to three (3) hours. If a performance exceeds three (3) hours, the time worked in 1 excess of three (3) hours shall be compensated at a hourly rate of one-third (1/3) the performance rate. It is understood that all of the performance crew will report one-half (1/2) hour before the scheduled performance time. It is further understood that the one-half (}) hour prior to the scheduled performance time shall not be included in the three (3) hour performance time and there shall be no additional com- pensation for such half hour. 5. The truck rate shall apply for all truck loading/unloading up to three (3) hours. If the loading/unloading of a truck exceeds three (3) hours, the time worked in excess of three (3) hours shall be compensated at a hourly rate of one-third (1/3) the truck rate. B. This section of the Memorandum of Understanding shall apply to the employees of the City of Saint Paul employed in the title of Stage Technician. The employees employed in the aforementioned title shall receive the following salary and fringe improvements: 1. Wages: A. Effective January 4, 1986, a salary increase of 4.07 (four percent) . B. Effective January 3, 1987, a salary increase of 4.0� (four percent) . 2. Early Retiree Insurance: A. Effective January 1, 1986, for each employee who retires during the term of this Agreement and is eligible for early retiree benefits under the terms set forth in this article and who selects a City- offered employee insurance coverage, the Employer agrees to contribute the cost of such coverage or $70'.00 per month, whichever is less. For each eligible early retiree who selects a City-offered family insurance coverage, the Employer will contribute the cost of such family coverage or $180.00 per month, whichever is less. These contributions shall be made only until the employee reaches sixty- five (65) years of age. B. Effective January 1, 1986, for each employee who retires during the term of this Agreement and is eligible for early retiree benefits under the terms set forth in this article, the Employer agrees to contribute the cost of $5,000 of life insurance coverage or $1.32 per month, whichever is less. This contribution shall be made only until the employee reaches sixty-five (65) years of age. . @r �'�-��09 C. Employees who retire after execution of this Agreement must meet the following conditions at the time of retirement to be eligible for t the City contributions to health insurance set forth in Article 10.1. 1. Must be at least 58 years of age AND 2. Must have completed 25 years of employment with the City of St. Paul OR 3. The combination of their age and their years of service must equal eighty-five (85) or more AND 4. Be receiving benefits from a public employee retiree act at the time of retirement 5. Have severed his relationship with the City of St. Paul under one of the early retiree plans. D. Employees who retire after the execution of this Agreement and who meet the conditions set forth in 2C4 and 2C5 but whose age and years of service equal less than eighty-five (85) but at least eighty (80) at the time of their retirement, shall be eligible for the following amount of Employer contributions toward health insurance until they reach sixty-five (65) years of age. A Retiree may not carry his/her spouse as a dependent if such spouse is also a City retiree and eligible for and is enrolled in the City health insurance program. F. A retiree who has retired with only single health insurance coverage shall not be allowed to add dependent coverage without providing proof that his/ her spouse is ineligible for any group insurance coverage elsewhere. G. Any cost of any premium for any City-offered retiree or family insurance coverage in excess of the dollar amounts stated in 2A, 2B and 2D shall be paid by the retiree. 3. Employee Insurance A. The Employer agrees to contribute the cost of $5,000 of life insurance coverage for each employee who is eligible for such coverage of $1.32 per month, whichever amount is less. B. For each eligible employee covered by this Agreement who is employed full- time and who .selects a City-offered insurance coverage, the Employer , agrees to contribute the cost of such coverage or $70.00 per month, which- ever is less. For each employee who selects a City-offered family coverage, the Employer will contribute the cost of such family coverage or $180.00 per month, whichever is less. . � �-�-�'S-17o� For the purpose of this Article, full-time employment is defined as appearing on the payroll at least 32 hours per week or at least 64 hours ' per pay period excluding overtime hours. C. For each eligible employee covered by this Agreement who is employed half- time who selects a City-offered insurance coverage, the Employer agrees to contribute the cost of such coverage or $35.00 per month, whichever is less. For each employee who selects a City-offered family coverage, the Employer will contribute the cost of such family coverage or $90.00 per month, whichever is less. For the purpose of this Article, half-time employment is defined as appearing on the payroll at least 20 hours but less than 32 hours per week or at least 40 but less than 64 hours per pay period excluding over- time hours. D. Any cost of any premium for any City-offered employee or family insurance coverage in excess of the dollar amounts stated in 3A, 3B or 3C shall be paid by the employee. 4. Vacation A. Vacation credits shall be earned and used in accordance with Section I H of the St. Paul Salary Plan and Rates of Compensation.
