WHEREAS, The Saint Paul Public Library will hold a staff recognition and in-house training
session, to be held at the Rondo Outreach Library on October 8, 2007 at a cost not to
exceed $5500, and,
WHEREAS, The Saint Paul Public Library has received donated monies from the Friends of
the Library, Perrie Jones Library Fund, which will pay the entire cost for the event, and,
WHEREAS, The Saint Paul Public Library staff require regular and ongoing training better to
meet the rapidly changing needs of the communities they serve and this session allows all
staff to be present in one place,

N9W; fHEREFORE, It Is Ordered that library officials are authorized and directed to
undertake the staging of the event and remit the cost not to exceed $5500 for the program to
the proper parties.

The L�brary will have an all day training session on October 8, 2007 during which time the Library will be closed and all staff will
attend. The cost wi(I not exceed $5500.

All staff will be together for the training eliminating the need for multiple sessions. Staff recognition will also be part of the day.
