D002610 .� J City of Saint Paul OFFICE OF THE MAYOR ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER, Na: D�C �-(��� Date: � _ �� - D�i: WHEREAS, The Saint Paul Public Library hosted two receptions to welcome the new Library Director, Melanie Huggins and introduce her to the Library staff, the regional library community and other City Department Heads, officials and staff in order to expedite her orientation; the first held at 317 Rice Park on June 13, 2006 and the second at the Hayden Heights Library on June 16; the cost not to exceed $2400, and, WHEREAS, The Saint Paul Public Library has monies in a Friends of the Library grant, and, WHEREAS, The Director of the Library must assume many roles quickly in order to deal with the budget, the strategic planning process in the City and the Library, regional library initiatives, and advocacy for the Library, and these events wili effectively introduce her to a large number of stakeholders at once, r �1 ►.�J .1J NOW, THEREFORE, It Is Ordered that library officials are authorized and directed to undertake the staging of the events and remit the cost not to exceed $2400 for the program to the proper parties.
