WHEREAS, Actors Theatre of St. Paul is a resident company which
has brought eight seasons of professiona) theater to our community,
and
WHEREAS, Actors Theatre makes an important economic cantribution
to the community, providing more than 40 full time jobs and drawing
an annual audience of 34,000 patrons, and
WHEREAS, Actors Theatre maintains high standards of artistic
performance and has earned a significant position among regional
theaters in America, and
WHEREAS, Actors Theatre does welcome the community on the occasion
of this "Lights On!" Party to share in celebrating its new home
at 28 West Seventh Place, and
WHEREAS, Actors Theatre does officially take up residence as a
performing company in downtown St. Paut with the opening of its
production of "Much Ado About Nothing" on October 25, now therefore
be it
RESOLVED, that the St. Paul City Council does declare this "Much
Ado About Something" �leek in our city and does welcome Actors Theatre
of St. Paul as a bright new star in the downtown constellation.
