WHEREAS, Saint Paul Legislative Code § 376.17(c) requires new applicants for a
taYicab driver's license to successfully complete a tazcicab driver training course as a prerequisite
for licensure; and

5 WHEREAS, § 376.17(d) permits an applicant to obtain a provisional operator license
6 which authorizes the driver to operate untii the first auailable apeninD in a training class, at
7 which time the applicant must enroll in and successfully complete the class; and

9 WHEREAS, Juan Zayzay was issued a provisional operator license by the Office of LIEP
10 and was norified of the ta�cicab driver training course to begin on August 7, 2000, but failed to
11 attend and successfully complete the course; now, therefore, be it

13 RESOLVED, that the provisional operator license (license ID# 200000021 b0) issued to
14 Juan Zayzay is hereby revoked for failure to enroll in and successfully complete the required
15 t�icab driver training course.

The Office of License, Inspections and Environmental Protection has recommended revocation
of your provisional operator status as a taacicab driver based upon your failure to enroll in and
successfully complete a taxicab driver training course, pursuant to Saint Paul legislative Code
§ 37617(d). Enclosed is a copy of the proposed resolurion.
Please take notice that a hearing has been scheduled before the Saint Paul City Council for 5:30
p.m. on Wednesday, October 25, 2000 in the City Council Chambers, Third Floor, Saint
Paul City Hall/Ramsey County Courthouse. You will have an opportunity to address the
Council at that time.
