Mr. Wilhoit is asking for a variance from the requirement of installing 20 minutes fire rated doors in ail apartments. The Fire Deparhnent has no objections to a variance. Gerry Strathman granted a variance on the nonconforming doors with the following conditions: 1) when the nonconforming doors need to be replaced, they will be replaced with conforming fire rated doors, 2) the building must otherwise be in compliance.
