Appointment t Committee Membership A. Newly est blished committee vacancies shall be announced by the Ma or to the City Council, City Clerk and the general p blic at least 45 days prior to the date of �, appointme t. l . Upcoming ommittee vacancies created by expiration dates shall be nnounced quarterly by the Mayor to the City ' Council , ity Clerk, and the general public at least 45 Idays prio to the expiration dates of the terms . C. Appointme ts to vacancies shall occur no sooner than 45 days afte the vacancies are announcec�.. D. Committee vacancies created by resignation or death shall be immedi tely announced by the Mayor to the City Council, City Cler , and if the vacancy corresponds with the quarter- ly announ ements, it will also be announced to the general ' public . 2 . A copy of a completed application form for each appoint- ee named y the Mayor shall be sent to the City Council and the City Clerk with a copy of the Council resolution when the esolution is presented to the City Clerk for inclusion on the council agenda. F. Applicati ns will be received in the Mayor' s Office and ' will be k pt on file for at least two years. The appli- cations o file will be considered for vacancies due to resignati ns . III . ComiinitteeMemb rship A. In nomina ing committee members, the Mayor shall give priority o residents of the city, and business persons �Iwith expe tise on related matter. B. I, Loss of c mmittee membership shall occur as a result of absence w' thout excuse from three consecutive meetings or one-ha f of the announced meetings within one year, if absenc s have not been approved by committee chairperson. C. Members s all serve at the will and pleasure of the ap- pointing uthority. D. , No person shall be appointed to serve on more than two City boar s, commissions or committees at any one time, except in the case of related boards, ad hoc committees, ' study co ittees, etc. E.
