Owners of property on Brompton Street requested that additional work be done on their street
in connection with the original Como/Arona Area Paving & Lighting Project, File No.18768.
The owners signed Waivers of Notification of Assessment, allowing the work to be completed as
early as possible. This work was done as part of the original Como/Arona Project, and needs to
be ratified to allow for the collection of assessments to pay for the work.

HITIATING PROBLEM, ISSUE, OPPORTITNITY (Who, What, When, Where, Why?):
Owners of property on Brompton Street requested that additional work be done on their street
in connection with the original Como/Arona Area Paving & Lighting Project, File No.18768.
The owners signed Waivers of Notification of Assessment, allowing the work to be completed as
early as possible. This work was done as part of the original Como/Arona Project, and needs to
be ratified to allow for the collection of assessments to pay for the work.

levied the total amount as above ascertained, to-wit: the sum of $ 3,376.50 on each
and every lot, part or parcel of land deemed benefited by the said improvement, and
in the case of each lot, part or parcel of land in accordance with the benefits
conferred thereon; that the said assessment has been completed, and that hereto
attached, identified by the signature of the said Valuation and Assessment Engineer,
and made a part hereof, is the said assessment as completed by him, and which is
herewith submitted to the Council for such action thereon as may be considered
proper.

above improvement having been submitted to the Council, and the Counci-1 having
considered same and found the said assessment satisfactory, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the said assessment be and the same is hereby in all respects
approved.
RESOLVED FURTHER, That a public hearing be had on said assessment on the 6th
dav of October. 1999, at the hour of 5:30 o'clock P.M., in the Council Chamber of
the Court House and City Hall Building, in the City of St. Paul; that the Valuation
and Assessment Engineer give notice of said meetings, as required by the Charter,
stating in said notice the time and place of hearing, the nature of the improvement,
and the amount assessed against the lot or lots of the particular owner to whom the
notice is directed.
