Background
The "Print Shop", now "Print Centrai" and serving both the City and County, is still primari3y a
management responsibility of the City and of PED. The level of technology in printing has
increased significarrtly and these have been further complicated by issues such as recycling,
computer graphics, etc. The Printing statFhas also increased with the new responsibilities. A lead
or "assistant supervisor" is needed to fill in for the manager when he is away (on vacation, sick,
professional development, etc.) And even when the manager is at extended meetings or several
meetings in a row or when he is consulting with a customer.
