KUBITSCHEK, MAYNARD W. WEITALA, LUCILLE M. DONALDSON, AND TOM RINE Claimant. W. J. Kubitschek, requests reimbursement for medical expenses and suffering he incurred as a result of a fall he had on a City of Saint Paul sidewalk. The falldown occurred on February 10 , 1985 in front of 1130 Englewood Avenue. This office approves the settlement of Mr. Kubitschek' s claim in the amount of $400. 00. Claimant , Maynard W. Weitala, requests reimbursement for damages to his basement and clothing and furniture in the basement which were damaged when his sewer backed up. The backup occurred on several occasions and every time Mr. Weitala called the City of Saint Paul , Department of Public Works , and complained about the problem. The City checked the sewer line in front of Mr. Weitala ' s house and found nothing wrong. The problem was that Mr. Weitala lives on the corner of Atlantic and Bush and his house is connected to the sewer line on Atlantic. Upon further checking, the Depart- ment of Public Works found that the sewer line on Atlantic was plugged. This office approves the settlement of Mr. Weitala' s claim in the amount of $1 , 000. 00. Claimant, Lucille M. Donaldson, requests reimbursement for medical bills she incurred as a result of a fall on a City of Saint Paul sidewalk. The falldown occurred near 920 South Wheelock. This office approves the settlement of Ms. Donaldson ' s claim in the amount of $353 . 75. Claimant , Tom Rine, requests reimbursement for damages to his automobile which he incurred on March 27, 1985 , when a hot water heater was being loaded into his car. The Annex Engineer , Frank Knoll , was helping to place the heater into Mr. Rine ' s car when it slipped and damaged the rear taillight area. This office approves the settlement of Mr. Rine ' s claim in the amount of $103. 37.
