1 WHEREAS, Minnesota Laws of 1999, Chapter 231, Section 5,
2 Subdivision 6 includes an appropriation from the State of
3 Minnesota to acquire "the portion of the Trout Brook Corridor
4 loCated between Maryland Avenue, 2-35E, Cayuga Street, and Agate
5 Street." and
6 WHEREAS, it is necessary to establish a project in the
7 City's Capital Improvement Budget to receive and expend funds
8 under said grant,
9 NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of
10 Saint Paul, upon recommendation of the Mayor and the advice of
11 the Long Range Capital Improvement Budget Committee, that the
12 1999 Capital Improvement Budget, as heretofore adopted and
13 amended by the Council, is hereby further amended as follows:

The State of Minnesota has appropriated a 5900,000.00 grant to the City to acquire land in the Trout Brook Corridor,
located between Maryland Avenue, I-35E, Cayuga Street, and Agate Street. The land is to be used to "reestab4ish
natural habitat as well as passive recreational and environmental education opportunities." This resolution is necessary
to establish a Capital Improvement Project to receive and expend the funds.
