The Public Works Committee at its meeting of May 29, 1985 took the
following action:
Hearing Date .
1. 6/4/85 RATIFICATION FOR AWARD OF DAMAGES: Acquiring a
permanent easement for storm sewer purposes over, under
and across certain parts of Lots 12 and 13. Block 1,
Lakeview Addition No. 1 and a temporary construction
easement in said Lot 13 for the Arlington-McAfee Storm ' "
Sewer Relief System.
Referred back to City Council without recortxnendation.
2. 6/4/85 RATIFICATION OF ASSESSMENTS: For the construction of the
Railroad Island Storm Sewer.
Recommended approval . �
3. 6/11/85 RATIFICATION OF ASSESSMENTS: For the installation of a
Traffic Signal on Smith Avenue for Pedestrian Crosswalk
at United Hospitals to Parking Ramp between Sherman and
Walnut Streets.
Recommended approval. ,
4. 6/11/85 FINAL ORDER: To improve the following streets under the
Long Side Street Paving Program by regrading, surfacing,
constructing concrete curb and gutter. reconstructing
drives where necessary and doing all other work necessary
and incidental to said improvements: BRADLEY STREET - '
from Arlington Avenue to Nevada Avenue; CURFEW STREET -
from Desnoyer Avenue to Frontenac Place; ROGERS STREET -
from Otto Avenue to Eleanor Avenue.

5. 6/4/85 FINAL ORDER: Erecting, constructing, operating and
maintaining a Skyway Pedestrian Bridge (and all
incidental work thereto) over E. Fifth Street between the
intersections therewith of Jackson and Sibley Streets by
the Dept. of Planning 8 Economic Development; said skyway
. pedestrian bridge to connect to Galtier Plaza on the
north side of E. 5th St. to the existing Burlington
Northern/Nalpak Buildings on the south side of E. Sth
Street. •
