RESOLVED, That upon execution and delivery of a release in full to
the City, in a form to be approved by the City Attorney, the proper
City officers are hereby authorized and directed to pay out of the
Tort Liability Fund 09070-511-000 , to :
l . Joan Rhodes , Roger Rhodes , and Farmers Insurance Group the sum
of $3 , 210. 19 in full settlement of their claim of damages sus-
tained on or about January 1 , 1983 , as more particularly set
out in the Notice of Claim filed in the City Clerk ' s office on
February 9 , 1983.
2. Roger Rhodes , as guardian and parent of Jennifer Rhodes a minor,
and Farmers Insurance Group the sum of $107. 00 in full settlement
of their claim of damages sustained on or about January 1 , 1983 ,
as more particularly set out in the Notice of Claim filed in the
City Clerk' s office on February 9 , 1983.
3 . Viva Hooker and Farmers Insurance Group the sum of $735. 90 in
full settlement of their claim of damages sustained on or about
January 1 , 1983 , as more particularly set out in the Notice of
claim filed in the City Clerk ' s office on February 9 , 1983.

WHEREAS, Farmers Insurance Group submitted a subrogation
claim on behalf of their insured, Joan Rhodes and Roger Rhodes ,
, against the City of Saint Paul for damages to their vehicle which
was involved in an accident with a City of Saint Paul vehicle on
January 1 , 1983 .
WHEREAS, Farmers ' subrogation claim was investigated by the
Saint Paul City Attorney' s office on behalf of the City of Saint

Paul and found to be reasonable and just.
WHEREAS, a full and final settlement in the amount of Three
Thousand Two Hundred Ten and 19/100 Dollars ( $3 , 210. 19 ) has b�'n
agreed to by the parties and an executed release by Joan Rhodes ,
Roger Rhodes and Farmers Insurance Group for this amount has been
approved by the Saint Pau]. City Attorney.

CLAIMS AGAINST CITY OF SAINT PAUL BY
JOAN RHODES, ROGER RHODES, AND FARMERS
INSURANCE GROUP; ROGER RHODES, AS
GUARDIAN AND PARENT OF JENNIFER RHODES
A MINOR, AND FARMERS INSURANCE GROUP;
and VIVA HOOKER AND FARMERS INSURANCE GROUP
On January l , 1983 , a City of Saint Paul , Department of Public
Works , dump truck driven by employee Fred Frazier rear ended a
vehicle stopped in front of him on Lexington Avenue near Kaufman,
Mr. Frazier struck this vehicle that was being driven by Joan
Rhodes with her two passengers , daughter Jennifer Rhodes and her
mother Viva Hooker. As a result of this accident, the vehicle,
owned by Roger Rhodes , was extensively damaged in the amount of
$3 , 210. 19. Also, Mrs. Rhodes , Jennifer Rhodes and Viva Hooker
sustained personal injuries requiring medical treatment. The
City of Saint Paul has settled the property damage claim of Roger
and Joan Rhodes and their insurance company, Farmers Insurance
Group, for $3 , 210. 19.
Also, the personal injury subrogation claim by Farmers Insurance
Company on behalf of Jennifer Rhodes , a minor , has been settled
for $107. 00, for Viva Hooker for $735. 90 , and for Joan and Roger
Rhodes for $268. 15.
