BE Ir BESOLVED, that the City of Saint Paul enter into an Agreement
with the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railraod Company and t�lie
Commissioner of Transportation for the installation and maintenanoe of
railroad crossing surfaoe and the improvement of crossing si.gnals at the
intersection of Edgcumbe Road with the tracks of Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul
and Pacific Railroad Company in St. Paul Minnesota, and appointing the
Commissioner of Transportation agent for the City to supervise said project
and administer available Federal funds in acoordance with Minnesota Statute,
Section 161.36 (1982). The City's share of the cost shall be 10 percent of the
total cost.
BE Ir FUgrHER BESOLVED. that the Mayor and City Clerk be and
they are hereby authorized to ezecute said agreement for and on behalf of the
c�ty.

This resolution is being processed prior to receipt of the agreement so that the
agreement can then be signed by the proper City officials in time to coordinate
this work with the Edgcumbe Road improvement project that is presently
beiag �dvertised. An attempt will be ma�e to get this project cansteucted
while the Ford Pl�nt has their usual slowdown time in July.

The Public Works Committee at its meeting of May 29, 1985 took the
following action:

1. 6/4/85 RATIFICATION FOR AWARD OF DAMAGES: Acquiring a '
permanent easement for storm sewer purposes over, under
and across certain parts of Lots 12 and 13, Block 1,
Lakeview Addition No. 1 and a temporary construction
easem?nt in said Lot 13 for the Arlington-McAfee Storm '
Sewer Relief System.
Referred back to City Council without recommendation.
2. 6/4/85 RATIFICATION OF ASSESSMENTS: For the construction of the
Railroad Island Storm Sewer.
� Recommended approval .
3. 6/11/85 RATIFICATION OF ASSE55MENT5: For the installation of a ,
Traffic Signal on Smith Avenue for Pedestrian Crosswalk
at United Hospitals to Parking Ramp between Sherman and
Walnut Streets.
Recommended approval.
4. 6/il/85 FtNAL ORDER: To improve the following streets under the '
Long Side Street Paving Program by regrading. surfacing,
constructing concrete curb and gutter, reconstructing
drives where necessary and doing all other work necessary
and incidental to said improvements: BRADLEY STREET -
from Arlington Avenue to Nevada Avenue; CURFEW STREET -
from Desnoyer Avenue to Frontenac Place; ROGERS 5TREET - ;
from Otto Avenue to Eleanor Avenue.
Recommended approval.
5. 6/4/85 FINAL ORDER: Erecting, constructing, operating and
maintaining a Skyway Pedestrian Bridge (and all
incidental work thereto) over E. Fifth Street between the
intersections therewith of Jackson and Sibley Streets by
the Dept. of Planning 8 Economic Development; said skyway
pedestrian bridge to connect to Galtier Plaza on the
north side of E. 5th St. to the existing Burlington
Northern/Nalpak Buildings on the south side of E. 5th
Street. •
