Service Rules ncerning Multiple Vacancies.
RESOLVED, that the ivil S rvice Rules be amended in Section 8, Filling
Vacancies, by inserting new S section 8.B.l.c., to read as follows:
"8.B.l.c. Mult ple Va ancies from a Single Requisition for the
Same Title 'n the Same Department
The ersonn 1 Office shall certify to the appointing office
the umbers of eligi.bles on the list receiving the highest
scor s nece sary to fill all the vacancies plus two additio al
name .
In t tles i departments where representation is below or uld
be b low th goals stated in Section 8.B.l.a. after the new
appo ntment are made, the Personnel Office shall certify a many
name of ad itional protected class eligi.bles from each of he
affe ted s groups as are necessary to provide the total
plus two, p ovided that the names of additional eligibles
shal be dr wn from either the top 33$ or the top scoring
twen y name , whichever number is greater, from the existi
elig le li t. The top 33� shall be calculated on the basi
of t e list remaining after all hires have been made.

amendment allows certification o many ames for a single title in a single department hile
preserving the Affirmative Actio guide ines.
