AN AP LICAT ON FOR AN URBAN DEVELOPMENT ACTION G T
FOR T E WOR D TRADE CENTER HOTEL PROJECT
WHEREAS, aint aul is eligible for grant assistance u der the
Urban Developme t Act'on Grant Program (UDAG) of the Communi y
Development Act of 19 7 ; and
WHEREAS , he Wo ld Trade Center Hotel Project has been reviewed
and approved by the P anning Commission and Capital Improvem nt Budget
Committee; and
WHEREAS, he re uired public hearings u�on said applic tion have
been held;
NOW, THE FORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Council of th City of
Saint Paul does hereb approve the filing of the Application for an
Urban Developme t Act'on Grant for the World Trade Center Ho el
Project and the proje t and activities therein proposed; and
BE IT FU HER SOLVED, that Mayor George Latimer, as hief
Executive Offic r of he City, is hereby authorized and dire ted to
submit said Urb n De lopment Action Grant Application to th Depart-
ment of Housing and ban Development in such form as prescr bed by
the regulations of sa' d Department; and
BE IT �IN LLY SOLVED, that the Mayor, or his designa ed represen-
tative is furt r aut orized to execute and submit to the U. . Depart-
ment of I�ousing and ban Development any assurances , certif cations ,
or additional i forma ion that m�y be required by said Depar ment during
their review o the C' ty' s. Urban Development Action Grant an Application
for Fecl.eral Ass ' stanc .
