The above �entit ed ma ter involves a claim by Malcolm L. Kauf an
that he wa�s inj red w en he slipped and fell over an icy side alk
or walkway� at 2 41 Yo ngman on February 19, 1978 . He claims is
fall and subseq ent i juries were caused by the negligence of the
City of Stl. Pau and he owners of the property. The City de ies
any neglig nce laimi g instead that Mr. Kaufman' s injuries w re
caused by �is o n neg igence or the negligence of the propert owners.
The questibn of who w s really negligent cannot be guaranteed.
As such an�1 consideri g the nature of Mr. Kaufman' s claimed i juries,
this office agr ed to the full settlement of this case by the
payment of� a to al of $1, 200 to Mr. Kaufman with the City pay' ng
$600 .
