On Nover�ber 7, 1985 , claimant Karen Sorenson tripped and ell on
a rise �n the City idewalk on University Avenue near Dewe . Ms.
Sorense frac ured er finger as a result of her fall and i curred
medical expen es an wage loss. Our office reached a com romise
settlem nt wi h Ms Sorenson for her injuries in the am unt of
$500. 00 .I
On Augu t 11 198 , a City of Saint Paul parks employ e , Jim
Yannare ly, s ruck vehicle owned by claimant ,7ohanna Fox with a
City la n mow r. M . Yannarelly tried to drive between M . Fox ' s
car and the urb w en there was not enough room. Ms . Fo ' s ca.r_
sustain d da ages n the amount of $526 . 83 as a result f this
acciden and e are reimbursing her for that amount.
On Marc 5 , 1986 , City of Saint Paul , Public Works truc driven
by City empl yee , awrence Holmes , left a parking space on Western
Avenue ear est S venth and struck a vehicle owned and d. iven by
claiman , Ma jorie Best , which was proceeding northbound on West
Seventh. As a res lt of the impact, Ms , Best ' s car was damaged
in the moun of $ 75 .09 , fo which her insurance company, llstate
reimbur ed h r les. her deductible. In addition, Ms . Best incurred
car re tal ees i the amount of $32 . 00 . We have a reed to
settle ith s . Be t and Allstate for the above stated amo nts .
