WHEREAS, the charge to the Comnission includes protectfon of the river and�-
the river corridor for multiple uses; and

RESOLVED, that the Caflmi�sicro sh�il identify any such contamir�ation or -
pollution before land is acquired by the City for redevelopn�ent and befo��e
any rede elopment activfty begins, by means of such tests and analyse�' as �
may be a ropriate; and be it �
FURTHER R SOLVED. that, if such contamination or poilution should exts�,
the C ssion shali insure that it is cieaned up before any rec�velc�ae�nt
- act�vity girts; and be it
FURTHER R SOLVED, that previous owners, lessees, or other parties wt� may -�
have bee involved in activities whfch generated the cvntamination or
poliution shail be responsible for costs of its eleanup. and that - �n no
case shal the City be responsible for such costs; and be it
