Villaume, III FE� Assistant City Attorney DATE: July 28, 1986 RE: Claim against the City of Saint Paul by Mildred Hagge Mrs. Mild ed Hagge is a 68 year old woman who fell on the city sidewalk ear her home at 1133 Beech Street on April 18, 1983 . She claim the fall was caused by a two-inch rise in the sidewalk. Mrs. Hagg suffered a fracture in the distal radius of her left wrist. S e was treated by Dr. Richard A. Smookler and has had a reasonabl successful recovery. She was employed as a dressing room atte dant at Sears, Roebuck and Company and was unable to work for pproximately 4 weeks. Mrs. Hagg ' s total out-of-pocket expenses include $642 . 78 in medical bills and $315 . 00 in loss of wages for a total of $957 . 78 . Mrs. Hagge and her attorney have agreed to accept that sum in full and ' final set lement of all claims. Our office recommends approval of the se tlement. ' FEV:paw attach. cc.
