WHER S, the State Board of Vocational Technical Education has the power
to alloc e �unding under Section 123 of the Job Training Partnership Act, for
the crea 'on of special programs that coordinate state education agencies with
the jobs nd training programs; and
WHER S, the State Board of Vocational Technical Education has approved such
a grant t the City of Saint Paul in the amount of $64,000 for the City's
particip ion in a Special Vocational Education Coordination Program for 35 single
young mot ers; and
WHERE S, this program will provide training for up to 35 unemployed and
economica ly disadvantaged single young mothers in Saint Paul and Ramsey County;
now there ore, be it
RESOL ED, that upon the recommendation of the Mayor, the Council of the City
of Saint aul does hereby approve the City's participation in the Single Young
Mothers P ogtam; and be it
FURTH R RESOLVED, that the proper City officials are hereby authorized and
directed o execute the contract between the State Board of Vocational Technical
Training nd the City of Saint Paul; and be it
FINAL Y RESOLVED, that the 1986 Special Funds budget be amended as identified
below:
